Forster Named TRAC FYX CEO

TRAC Intermodal has named Kenneth Forster as Chief Executive Officer at subsidiary FYX Fleet Roadside Assistance, a provider of emergency fleet services for the intermodal and over-the-road trucking industries. Forster, whose appointment is effective Feb. 8, 2021, replaces FYX Vice President Rodney Goderwis, who is retiring. He will report to TRAC Intermodal CEO Daniel Walsh.

TRAC Intermodal announced that President and CEO Jennifer Polli will leave the company on Sept. 1, and Daniel Walsh, formerly President of the Last Mile business at XPO Logistics, will assume her titles.

Stonepeak Acquires TRAC Intermodal

Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners has completed the previously announced transaction to acquire TRAC Intermodal and its subsidiaries from investment funds managed by an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group LLC on March 27, 2020.

Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners has entered into a binding agreement to acquire intermodal infrastructure provider TRAC Intermodal (TRAC) and its subsidiaries from investment funds managed by an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group LLC. “The transaction will provide Stonepeak with an industry leader to strengthen its infrastructure and transportation market portfolio and TRAC with a new sponsor and support for future growth,” Stonepeak said. “TRAC’s existing management team will continue to run the business in their current capacities.”

Trac Intermodal, North America’s largest provider of intermodal marine equipment and biggest chassis pool manager, is adding more than 16,000 new and fully refurbished chassis to its various regional fleets, continuing a major modernization program that began in 2015 “to provide the intermodal industry with ease of access to high-quality equipment.”
