The Michigan State Transportation Commission (STC) on Nov. 9 approved the final version of the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) 2024-2028 Five-Year Transportation Program (5YTP) for posting on the agency’s website and transmission to the Michigan Legislature State Budget Director, and the House and Senate fiscal agencies by March 1, 2024.
Two Metro Line 3 rapid transit trains collided Jan. 7 between the La Raza and Potrero stations in Mexico City, killing one person and injuring 57 others, according to the Associated Press (AP) and CNN. An investigation into the cause is under way, as is work to restore service.
On May 3, at 10:22 p.m., a viaduct support underneath a moving Mexico City Metro train collapsed, causing the train to crash onto a busy street underneath. The death toll was 24, and more than 70 were injured.
