Rep. Joyce joins MAGNET, REMSA on tour of Iron Horse’s Ohio facility

U.S. Rep. David Joyce (R-Ohio) on March 9, 2016 joined representatives from Iron Horse Engineering, the Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network (MAGNET), and the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) to tour Iron Horse’s manufacturing facility, learn about the burgeoning rail and manufacturing communities in Northeast Ohio, and discuss public policy priorities for the industries. Local manufacturers, railroads, and rail safety groups also joined the group.

US associations present the ‘American Way’ at InnoTrans 2016

Four of the most important industrial associations in the USA—the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA), the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), the Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA)—are coming to InnoTrans in Berlin Sept. 20-23, 2016, in order to “present a concentrated display of their country’s economic strengths in the rail transport sector.”

REMSA to host USA Pavilion at Innotrans 2016

The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) will host a USA Pavilion at Innotrans 2016, Sept. 20-23, in Berlin, Germany, the organization announced Feb. 2, 2016. InnoTrans, the largest rail transport and technology trade show in the world, is held biannually.

Yoho visists Balfour Beatty Rail

Wasatch Railroad Contractors celebrates grand opening of Shoshoni facility

On Oct. 15, 2015, Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) member Wasatch Railcar Repair Contractors (WRRC) hosted a grand opening event for elected, industry, and community officials at its Shoshoni, Wyo. facility. The event featured demonstrations of WRRC’s repair capabilities and formal remarks by WRRC Founder John Rimmasch and Ben Avery, on behalf of Governor Matt Mead.

Organizers for Railway Interchange 2015, held in Minneapolis, Minn. on Oct. 4-7, 2015, announced today that total registered attendance for the USA-based combined exhibition and technical conference reached 9,571, a new record.

Scott Commo elected to REMSA board of directors
