Norfolk Southern (NS) promotes Joe Gioe to Vice President. Also, Dr. Zabih Ghelichi, Senior Operations Research and Advanced Specialist at BNSF receives the 2023 Pritsker Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE); Keith Dierkx joins Princeton Consultants as Principal; and members of the Commuter Rail Coalition (CRC) elect leadership slate.

RailPulse will provide a “neutral, open-architecture, industry-wide railcar telematics platform to make it easier to ship by rail and to track rail shipments across the North American rail network,” according to joint venture partners Norfolk Southern, GATX Corp., Genesee & Wyoming, TrinityRail and Watco.

The RailPulse℠ joint venture has selected Princeton Consultants to design its technology platform that “will facilitate and accelerate the adoption of telematics across the North American railcar fleet.”
