Hitachi’s Acquisition of Thales’ Signaling Division Delayed
The review by Britain’s Competition and Markets Authority has pushed back completion of Hitachi’s acquisition of Thales’ signaling division from March-April 2023.

Auxo Investment Partners has acquired Genesis Rail Services, a railroad maintenance company. In addition, Industrial Networks LLC is expanding its rail yard automation system; L.B. Foster’s digital passenger information display units are now accessible for deaf, hard-of-hearing, or visually impaired rail passengers; and Liebherr-Transportation Systems will provide spare parts for Chicago Transit Authority’s 5000-series cars’ electro-hydraulic level control systems.
Harsco Rail: New Stoneblowers for Network Rail
Harsco Rail Ltd., the British operation of Harsco Rail (Harsco Corp.’s railway track maintenance division) on June 29 received an order from Network Rail for seven Stoneblower track geometry machines. Network Rail owns and manages Britain’s main line railway infrastructure.
