Two vintage trolleys that once ran on the George Benson Waterfront Streetcar Line in Seattle have arrived in St. Louis for use by the Loop Trolley.
The Loop Trolley Company announced on May 17, 2016 that Paul Scott has been hired as its first General Manager. The Loop Trolley, which is a 2.2-mile streetcar service operating along Delmar Blvd. and DeBaliviere Ave., is currently under construction and scheduled to begin operation in the Spring of 2017.
Major track installation on the 2.2-mile Loop Trolley, a fixed route electric trolley currently under construction in St. Louis and University City, Mo., has been completed in the Delmar Loop, well ahead of Thanksgiving and the holiday shopping season. Traffic barriers will be removed Nov. 10, 2015.
