Feds OK Port of Long Beach Pier B Proposal

The U.S. Maritime Administration has issued a Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Record of Decision (ROD) approving the Port of Long Beach’s planned $1.547 billion Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility project.

HDR has tapped Chip Knowlton as Infrastructure Consulting Business Transformation Director.

Northwest New Mexico Eyes New Freight Rail Service

HDR will study the feasibility of new freight rail service serving San Juan County, N.Mex., which would include an interchange with BNSF.

HDR Elevates Erwin to Transportation Manager, Canada

Tara Erwin has been promoted to lead transportation market operations in Canada for HDR, an engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services firm.

HDR will examine extending Denver RTD’s existing B Line commuter rail alignment as well as leasing BNSF right-of-way and tracks to bring service during peak commuting hours from Westminster Station 35.3 miles north to Boulder and Longmont.
