CSX’s “Play It Safe Around Railroad Tracks” public safety program and its sponsorship of Regan Smith and Furniture Row Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series are part of the company’s Beyond Our Rails corporate citizenship program.

CSX Transportation has partnered with Furniture Row Racing and the No. 78 Chevrolet Impala driven by Regan Smith in NASCAR’s top-tier Sprint Cup Series as an associate sponsor for the first half of the 2012 season.
Regan Smith, driving the no. 78 Furniture Row/CSX Play it Safe Chevrolet, rebounded to a 16th-place finish in the Goody’s Fast Relief 500 Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway on April 1. The late-race turnaround “was a result of sound pit strategy, quick pit stops, and a combination of patient and savvy driving,” the team said.
