Coos Bay Rail Link (CBRL) is naming one of its eight locomotives in honor of Oregon International Port of Coos Bay Chief Commercial Officer Martin Callery in what the company calls a “time-honored tradition of railroading.” Callery retires July 31, 2015, after 23 years of service with the port.
Short line Coos Bay Rail Link (CBR) has been named a new member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay® Transport Partnership program, the railroad announced Monday, May 19, 2014.
Railway Age magazine has named Coos Bay Rail Link the 2014 Short Line Railroad of the Year, and Arkansas & Missouri Railroad Co. its 2014 Regional Railroad of the Year. The awards will be presented at the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s annual meeting in San Diego, Calif., Friday, April 25, 2014.
