Global Rail Trust Acquires ARM

Global Rail Trust (GRT), a consulting firm with offices in Austria, Germany and Spain, has acquired Advanced Rail Management Corp. (ARM), which works with U.S. and Canadian rail systems to optimize and maintain the wheel/rail interface. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The MBTA will perform rail measurement services on the Green, Red, Orange and Blue lines.

ARM Lands MBTA Rail-Measurement Contract

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) has awarded Advanced Rail Management Corp. (ARM) a four-year contract with two option years for optical rail measurement services.

Advanced Rail Management will review existing wheel/rail profile compatibility; analyze rail profile and wear conditions; and design and execute a rail grinding program to remove defects, enhance vehicle steering through curves and reduce noise for San Diego Trolley.

San Diego MTS, ARM Ink Rail Maintenance Contract

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) has signed a five-year contract with Advanced Rail Management Corp. (ARM) for the San Diego Trolley Inc. (SDTI) rail maintenance program, including rail grinding on all open and embedded track sections and special trackwork.
