Maintenance-minded folks at the AREMA Conference gathered throughout the day October 6 to soak up 10 informative presentations revolving around maintaining the world’s railroads, which is no small task.
Part two of the Student Program, part of the AREMA Conference at Railway Interchange 2015, proved to be a huge success this year. The volume of students attending both the panel discussion and networking event was considerably larger than in years past. This is just one indication of the growing opportunity and increasing interest for young engineers in this industry.
The American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) presented the 2015 Dr. William W. Hay Award for Excellence to Union Pacific and BNSF for the Tower 55 Multimodal Improvement Project in downtown Fort Worth, Texas.
The largest gathering of the North American rail industry kicks off Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 and will focus on the technology and trends that keep railroads going.
I’m truly looking forward to Railway Interchange 2015 in Minneapolis next month. The first one was held here four years ago and was a huge success. This one promises to be even bigger and better and is by far, the most significant industry event of the year.
