Railway Interchange 2019, the largest Rail Industry Conference and Exhibition in North America, is in the books. Each year the event, which was held at the Minneapolis Convention Center Sept. 21-25, aims to serve as the one-stop for innovation in rail technology and education.
The AREMA Annual Conference, in conjunction with Railway Interchange 2019, “provides an opportunity for members of the railroad industry to increase their knowledge, technical expertise, network and provides a forum for exchanging ideas,” AREMA notes.
Railway Interchange, the largest exhibition and technical conference in North America, on Feb. 20 announced that Simmons-Boardman Rail Group, publisher of Railway Age, Railway Track & Structures (RT&S) and International Railway Journal (IRJ), is the official media partner for 2019. Railway Interchange is scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 22 through Wednesday, Sept. 25 at the Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, Minn.

Four of the most important industrial associations in the USA—the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA), the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), the Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA)—are coming to InnoTrans in Berlin Sept. 20-23, 2016, in order to “present a concentrated display of their country’s economic strengths in the rail transport sector.”
The American Railway and Engineering Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Educational Foundation, in cooperation with the US Committee to the Watford Group of International Railway Designers, has created a unique learning opportunity for an aspiring railway employee to gain international perspective of railroad design and operations called the “Watford Fellowship.” The Fellowship will consist of two paid registrations to the 2016 Watford Conference in the Scandinavian region of Europe, valued at approximately $1,400. The four-day conference, targeted for late October, includes presentations by the attendees in all aspects of railway planning and design with an emphasis on buildings, bridge and tunnel structures, and corporate identity.
Organizers for Railway Interchange 2015, held in Minneapolis, Minn. on Oct. 4-7, 2015, announced today that total registered attendance for the USA-based combined exhibition and technical conference reached 9,571, a new record.
The American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association’s (AREMA) Annual Conference being held in conjunction with Railway Interchange 2015, held six breakout sessions Tuesday, including nine in the Track session.
Tuesday’s breakout sessions at the AREMA Conference included a whopping 11 presentations around the ever-import subject matter of structures.
