Intermodal Briefs: PANYNJ, Alpenglow Rail/CC&L Infrastructure, Tradepoint Atlantic/Terminal Investment Limited

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) reports record cargo volumes for second consecutive month. Also, Alpenglow Rail Services Corp. (Alpenglow) and Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure (CC&L Infrastructure) will acquire Alberta Midland Railway Terminal Ltd. (AMRT); and Tradepoint Atlantic and Terminal Investment Limited (TIL) announce partnership to commence next major phase of redevelopment at Sparrows Point.

Alpenglow, CC&L Acquire Orange, TX Rail Terminal

Denver, Colo.-based Alpenglow Rail, in partnership with Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure, has purchased a newly constructed rail terminal in Orange, Tex., that is served by Union Pacific and BNSF.

Installation of more then 30,000 feet of track has been completed at Alpenglow Rail’s new railcar storage, switching and transloading logistics park, as part of phase-one construction.

Alpenglow Rail Launches Texas Terminal

Englewood, Colo.-based Alpenglow Rail has opened a 51-acre rail terminal in Port Arthur, Texas. In August, the company acquired USA Rail, along with this terminal, which was under construction.

CC&L Teams With Alpenglow Rail, Acquires VIP Rail

Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure has teamed up with Alpenglow Rail LLC to develop and operate a diversified portfolio of rail businesses across North America. In addition, CC&L Infrastructure acquired VIP Rail ULC, an Alpenglow affiliate, from Stonecourt Capital LP.
