The Railway Supply Institute has elected Tricia Charles, Jeff Lytle and Harrison Wadsworth to its board of directors for three-year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2021. As well, RSI Vice President Government and Public Affairs Nicole Brewin was appointed to the Federal Railroad Administration Rail Safety Advisory Committee (RSAC).

Tricia Charles is General Counsel for Union Tank Car Company and Marmon Holdings, a Berkshire Hathaway Company. Her experience includes more than 20 years as a litigation attorney working on commercial matters for public and private clients. Before joining Marmon Holdings, she was an in-house attorney for The Boeing Company.

Jeff Lytle

Jeff Lytle, President of CIT Rail, has more than 22 years of experience in railcar leasing. He joined CIT in 2005 and most recently held the position of Senior Vice President in charge of leasing for CIT’s tank, plastic hopper and boxcar railcar portfolios. Prior to joining CIT, he was Senior Vice President of Sales for GE Rail for nine years. He also held several management positions at Ashland Chemical. CIT Rail maintains a diversified railcar and locomotive fleet, with offices across North America.

Harrison Wadsworth

Harrison Wadsworth is Director of Government Affairs for Siemens Corporation, where he represents the company’s Mobility division. Wadsworth has extensive industry experience working on Capitol Hill, serving as Manager of Congressional Affairs for the Association of American Railroads. Wadsworth was previously appointed to the RSI Board of Directors in 2019 to fill a vacancy left by Siemens Mobility President and CEO John Paljug following his retirement.

“The diverse backgrounds that these new directors bring to RSI will help strengthen our ability to serve the needs of railway suppliers across different sectors of the industry,” said Jason Connell, President of Knorr Brake Company and Chairman of the RSI Board of Directors.

FRA’s Rail Safety Advisory Committee (RSAC) “seeks to bring rail industry leaders together to develop and provide input on regulatory solutions to address rail safety issues,” RSI noted.

Nicole Brewin

On her appointment, Nicole Brewin said, “Promoting rail safety has long-been a priority of the railway supply industry, and I look forward to working with my colleagues from across the industry to advise and provide recommendations to the FRA as it looks to continue improving rail safety wherever possible.”
