Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) on Jan. 23 announced his selections for Full Committee Vice Chairman and the Committee’s six Subcommittee Chairmen for the 115th Congress:

The Vice Chairman and Subcommittee Chairmen are expected to be confirmed at the Committee’s first organizational meeting of the year, which will be announced at a later date. Chairman Shuster’s selections for the Committee’s leadership team are:

• Full Committee Vice Chairman: John J. Duncan, Jr. (R-Tenn.).

• Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials: Jeff Denham (R-Calif). Denham returns to this post.

• Subcommittee on Aviation: Frank LoBiondo (R-N.J.).

• Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation: Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.).

• Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management: Lou Barletta (R-Pa.).l.ll• Subcommittee on Highways and Transit: Sam Graves (R-Mo.).

• Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment : Garret Graves (R-La.).

“Last Congress, the Committee was successful in advancing policies to strengthen America’s infrastructure and preserve the Nation’s competitiveness,” said Shuster. “The enactment of 56 public laws, including the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act and the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act, could not have happened without the hard work and support of our excellent leadership team. The 115th Congress will present new opportunities for the Committee to advance a bold agenda focused on building an American infrastructure that is prepared for the challenges of the 21st century. I am confident that our Committee is up to the task with the return of our Full Committee Vice Chairman and our accomplished and capable slate of Subcommittee Chairmen.”
