Strategic Rail Finance (SRF) founder Michael Sussman will be at Railway Interchange 2019 to speak about the value of railroads in America's economy with a goal of dramatically altering how policy and capital decisions are made.

Sussman will commence the discussion at Railway Interchange on Monday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. The talk is titled “Transforming Railroad Policy and Investment: Placing Railroads at the Center of North American Economic and Environmental Revitalization.”

Sussman, also the founder of non-profit OnTrackNorthAmerica, has “overseen the capitalization of freight rail projects in 44 states and Canada, and has conducted more than 1,000 educational meetings with local and congressional officials and staff. He will share his experiences carrying the flag of railroads and their contribution to society, and discuss a multifaceted plan for progress,” SRF said.

“The future of U.S. rail transportation depends on legislators, planners, business operators, financiers and citizens aligning on rail’s unique contribution to the future of sustainable industrial development and economic growth,” Sussman said.

“It is time to establish an industry growth plan that charts a new course for rail development and investment.”
