Focused Technology Solutions, Inc. (a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company) — President Peter Bartek says that multiple railroads, among them several Class I’s, have placed orders for the SpikeEase, described as “the first battery-operated and hydraulic-free spike puller on the market.

“By the first quarter of 2020, the SpikeEase will become an industry standard,” said Bartek. Many customers “reported an increase in productivity, as the tool pulls spikes in just three to seven seconds, and weighs under 30 pounds.”
