RR Mergers: RailPlan Maintenance Group Sold to Milman

Passenger railcar repair and inspection provider RailPlan International has sold its Maintenance Services Group to Milman Industries, Inc., RR Mergers & Acquisitions reported on Dec. 9.

Based in Baltimore, Md., RailPlan performs work on all types of passenger rail and transit vehicles for manufacturers, transit agencies, state departments of transportation/rail and Amtrak, according to RR Mergers, which served as an advisor on the Maintenance Services Group sale to Milman, an industrial and environmental services and supplies provider with headquarters in Sudbury, Ontario. Pete Di Mola, a 15-year RailPlan veteran, will continue to oversee the Maintenance Services Group and become a Milman employee.

“This acquisition will strengthen and expand service to our customers in the transit sector throughout the U.S., as RailPlan becomes part of the Milman Industries international company, Diesel Electric Services,” Milman Industries President and Founder Milad Mansour said.
