CFTE Launches Coronavirus Resource Page

APTA’s Center for Transportation Excellence (CFTE) launched a new resource page in an effort to help campaigns, communities and advocates navigate the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The page is intended to help give the tools and guidance necessary to make smart, strategic decisions during this crisis.

It is a living resource that we will be updated continually with new information and materials. APTA said it “will do our best to send updates through email but please be in touch if you have specific questions or requests.”

The page features:

• A running list of information and articles about what steps other transit campaigns are taking during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Talking points for campaigns around COVID-19 and investing in public transit.
• A toolkit for transit campaigns during the pandemic (coming soon).
• A community-building guide for keeping your coalition active during the pandemic, no matter where your community is in the process of passing a ballot measure.
• Digital organizing technology that makes virtual voter contact easier.
• State-by-state election resources to stay up-to-date with information about safe voting during the pandemic.
• Links to information regarding best practices for transit agency operations during the pandemic, including access to APTA’s resources page.
