Paresh Patel, P.E., has joined HNTB Corp. as an Associate Vice President and Project Director, Transit and Rail, based in New York City. Patel comes to HNTB following more than 30 years with MTA New York City Transit in design and construction experience.

Patel’s NYCT career includes serving as Program Officer, leading a $1.36 billion series of CBTC (communications-based train control) and signaling system projects that included project management and construction management as well as overall system integration. His experience also includes the $225 million rehabilitation of the NYCT Montague Tube, a recovery and resiliency project to repair damage caused by Superstorm Sandy.

A registered professional engineer in New York, Patel holds a master’s in electrical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

“Paresh is a recognized leader in the management of complex transit/rail construction programs as well as the design and implementation of core operating systems,” said Stephen Dilts, HNTB New York office leader and Senior Vice President. “As the region’s transit agencies continue to modernize the critical infrastructure systems needed to improve service, his expertise will help our clients advance their programs.”
