SYSTRA names FTA vet to planning, environmental post

Anthony Lee, AICP, has joined SYSTRA as Planning and Environmental Manager. Lee is a professional certified planner with more than 20 years of experience as a client manager, environmental planning group leader, and project manager.

“Tony Lee brings significant experience in planning areas that are at the core of SYSTRA’s services, such as transportation (rail, road, and highway), environmental, public participation/outreach, transit-oriented development, land use, and municipal and regional planning,” William Crosbie, P.Eng., President and CEO of SYSTRA’s US subsidiary. “He has significant experience managing high profile multi-disciplinary projects. He will be a great asset to SYSTRA in supporting key clients and contracts in the Northeast Corridor and nationwide.”

Among Lee’s more significant projects are the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor EIS, Westside Sub Extension EIS, World Trade Center Generic EIS, and Kosciuszko Bridge EIS.

Lee’s professional background includes serving as an Environmental Protection Specialist for the Federal Transit Administration. In this capacity, he managed the NEPA process for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor 8.5-mile light rail project, identified by the White House as one of six high priority projects. He also managed the NEPA process for the Westside Subway Extension FEIS/FEIR and various Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) East Side Access readiness projects.
