The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) says the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the TEX Rail project is now available for public review.

The T, making the announcement Monday, May 19, 2014, said public comments on the document will be accepted through June 20, 2014.

The authority hopes subsequently to move forward with final design and construction of the project. “Responses will be incorporated into the Record of Decision (ROD) document. Upon approval of the document, the [Federal Transit Administration] would allow The T to move forward with the project,” the authority said.

As envisioned, TEX Rail would provide regional passenger rail service stretches 27 miles, running roughly northeast from downtown Fort Worth, Tex., to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

The FEIS is available for public review at 35 Tarrant County locations, as well as online at www.TEXRail.com. Information about the physical locations may be obtained by contacting The T by email at [email protected].
Comments may be submitted by email and telephone also, or by postal mail to TEX Rail, 1600 E. Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76102. Comments also may be submitted online to The T
