The Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI) is now providing online access to 30 years of railroad technology research performed under the Association of American Railroads’ (AAR) Strategic Research Initiatives (SRI) program.

The new e-Library is available to the public. It features TTCI’s Technology Digest, a weekly publication that summarizes key findings and outcomes of SRI projects, providing railroads and suppliers with technical information related to wheel-rail interaction, advanced wheel and rail materials, special trackwork, bridges, vehicle dynamics, inspection technologies, and geotechnical studies. New digests will be available in the e-Library 60 days after their initial distribution to AAR-member subscribers, reported TTCI, a wholly owned subsidiary of AAR.

Work on the keyword-searchable archive, which spans from 1992 to the present, “was made possible by the support of the AAR and its member railroads, as well as additional partners including the Federal Railroad Administration, suppliers and vendors, and allied universities,” according to TTCI.
