Trackmobile LLC, a Georgia-based bi-modal railcar mover, opened 2016 with the announcement of its ISO 9001:2008 registration acceptance by American Systems Registrar (ASR). As a global manufacturer responsible for “The Design, Manufacture, and Service of Machines for Moving Railcars and Locomotives,” establishing Trackmobile’s operation under a quality management system that is in conformance with the international Quality System Standards was imperative, the company says.

“Implementing the ISO 9001 standard is not a one-time benefit to our company,” stated Ralph Przybyszewski, President of Trackmobile. Explaining the importance of registering Trackmobile’s quality management process and commitment to seeking continual improvements, Przybyszewski offered that, “The ISO 9001 requirements are designed to help us continually improve, and deliver better products for our customers. This is a very important aspect because companies that do not continue to improve are soon overtaken by the competition.”

“As the world’s founding innovator and leading manufacturer of bi-modal railcar movers, Trackmobile has been an engineering driven organization from day one,” the company says. “Taking this additional step to document and make public its quality management processes is simply a natural evolution in Trackmobile’s growth. As a globally recognized quality standard, ISO 9001 is a perfect match for Trackmobile’s 11,000-plus units that they have sold in over 67 countries worldwide. Leading organizations around the world recognize and appreciate the assurances that this certification provides. Certified compliance also facilitates transactions between ISO certified organizations, lowering the cost of doing business.”
