Infrastructure engineering software firm Bentley Systems, Inc., is developing applications for digital twins with NVIDIA Omniverse; the FourKites® real-time supply chain visibility platform is offering a Tracking Quality Guarantee; and LEDtronics® is producing a new LED light fixture with an energy-efficient, high-lumen output.

Bentley has extended its iTwin platform to integrate with NVIDIA Omniverse so that it can provide artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced, real-time visualization and simulation of industrial and civil infrastructure digital twins, according to the company. “This integration allows engineering-grade, millimeter-accurate digital content to be visualized with photorealistic lighting and environmental effects on multiple devices,” Bentley reported. Users can virtually explore infrastructure projects for purposes such as way-finding and safety route optimization, the company added.

“The industry is moving in a positive direction toward more automated and sophisticated tools that improve client outcomes,” said Donna DeMarco, plant information modeling, Jacobs. “Jacobs is proud to partner with Bentley in leveraging tools like iTwin linked with NVIDIA Omniverse to achieve strong results for our clients.”

FourKites tracks more than 2 million active shipments daily and proactively identifies, alerts and mitigates exceptions using artificial intelligence and machine learning-based algorithms, according to the company. The new Tracking Quality Guarantee covers rail, truckload, less-than-truckload, ocean and air transportation, as well as end-to-end tracking for shipments that span multiple modes.

For example, the FourKites platform is said to now identify more than 90% of late rail shipments prior to arrival, more than 90% of bad order railcars within 24 hours, and capture more than 90% of rail interchanges across North America. For less than truckload (LTL) shipments, for instance, it will identify unassigned shipments more than 90% of the time and outperform carrier ETA 90% of the time across all LTL carriers.

The SLL002PH series street light from LEDtronics “eliminates unwanted glare, light trespass, energy waste and sky glow that accompany traditional incandescent lamps,” according to the company. “The new cobrahead fixture produces 8800 lumens of 5700K cool-white light that conforms to the IESNA Type III (asymmetric) illumination pattern.” Additionally, it is said to operate with an input voltage range of 100 VAC to 277 VAC.

With a wide ambient operating temperature range of approximately -22F to +140F, “the RoHS-compliant LEDtronics cobrahead streetlight has IP66 protection and IK09 weather/durability ratings, making its solid-state construction resistant to high shock, high vibration, powerful jets of water, and environmental extremes,” according to the company. Available options for qualified volume offers include: surge protection devices (SPD-20KV/10KV); other white CCT colors (3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6500K); other beam distributions (Type-I, Type-II, Type-IV and Type-V); photocells; shorting caps; and dimmable versions.
