Several years ago, when the leaders of the top U.S. railway associations began planning the first Railway Interchange as a biennial event combining product and service exhibitions with the industry's leading technical conferences, they envisioned a top-notch event with international attendees and exhibitors.

Since the first Railway Interchange was held in Minneapolis in 2011, what started as an experiment has grown into a must-attend showcase event, attracting thousands from around the world who come to see the latest technological advances in railway engineering, research and equipment design and participate in technical forums on key railway industry issues.

Next month at Railway Interchange 2015 (RI2015), members of my organization, the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) along with those of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. will again combine their exhibitions with the technical presentations and discussions by members of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) and the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA) in what promises to be the biggest and best Railway Interchange to date.

REMSA members will gain much from attending and participating in RI2015, especially the chance to see new products and services and take advantage of the vast networking opportunities with key decision makers in the industry.

I am greatly looking forward to seeing what will be the largest international rail industry show held to date in North America, and especially hearing from REMSA members about their success at the show.

For REMSA, involvement in RI 2015 represents the continued evolution of the organization and growing exposure for our members and their products, not only in North America but globally.

Of particular note for attendees is that 2015 includes outdoor exhibits, which are only available every four years. This offers railroaders the opportunity to see large on-track products and innovations up close.

There is still time to register for this world-class rail industry event. Learn more and sign up today at www.railwayinterchange.org.

I look forward to seeing all of you at Railway Interchange 2015.
