The Ports of Indiana elevates Jody Peacock to CEO. Also, AECOM promotes Danette Riddle and Veronica Siranosian to its Strategic Growth team in the U.S. West Region for southern and northern California.

Jody Peacock succeeds Vanta E. Coda II as CEO of the Ports of Indiana, a statewide port authority managing three ports (Burns Harbor; Mt. Vernon; and Jeffersonville, Ind.) on the Ohio River and Lake Michigan. Coda held the leadership role from 2018 to 2022.

Peacock has served the Ports of Indiana since 2001, and was most recently Senior Vice President for Business Development. He also spent more than 10 years directing the organization’s communications, marketing, government relations, corporate affairs and foreign-trade zone program.

According to the Ports of Indiana, Peacock helped to develop multiple strategic plans and business initiatives that “reshaped the bipartisan port authority from a small government-funded agency to a self-funded, entrepreneurial enterprise that has achieved record growth under five governors.”

“Jody’s extensive experience, customer-focused vision and deep understanding of the organization’s economic development mission make him uniquely well qualified for this role,” Ports of Indiana Commission Chairman Micah Vincent said. “We thank Vanta for his past service and leadership, and we look forward to a bright future as we strive to grow our state port system.”

Among the railroads directly serving the Ports of Indiana are Evansville Western Railway, CSX, Louisville & Indiana Rail Road and Norfolk Southern.

The 3.5-mile Portland Central Loop extension was one of AECOM’s mass transit projects.

At AECOM, Danette Riddle and Veronica Siranosian will now serve on the Strategic Growth team in the U.S. West Region for southern and northern California.

As Los Angeles Metro Executive and Bay Area Metro Executive respectively, Riddle and Siranosian will partner with the firm’s U.S. West regional leadership “to drive major pursuits, brand awareness and geopolitical engagement,” according to the infrastructure consulting firm.

Riddle served previously as AECOM’s Buildings + Places Growth Lead. She has 37 years of strategy, marketing and communications experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industry, with 25 of those years at AECOM and its legacy companies.

Siranosian served most recently as Digital Director leading innovation and digital transformation in infrastructure. In addition to her new role as Bay Area Metro Executive, she will also serve as Director of Growth for the Transportation business across all market sectors, including transit, aviation, ports and marine, highways and construction management for the U.S. West Coast.

“We are thrilled to have Danette and Veronica as our strategic growth leaders in California,” AECOM U.S. West Region Executive Matt Crane said. “Both bring a strong background and an extensive understanding of our industry and most importantly, an unwavering commitment to help our clients create livable, sustainable and equitable communities. We look forward to seeing them continue their leadership track record at AECOM to take our business forward, and to help clients solve their most complex challenges and build legacies for generations to come.”
