HNTB’s Thomas Jenkins has earned the Mobility 21 Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, Quantix (formerly A&R Logistics) has named Jake Tendler Vice President of Sales for its 3PL Solutions business.

The Mobility 21 coalition presented the award recognizing “transportation leaders who contribute to the advancement in mobility in Southern California” to Jenkins, HNTB’s Vice President and National Transit/Rail Consultant, at its recent virtual summit.

Jenkins joined HNTB in 2019. Based in the Los Angeles office, he serves as Project Manager of the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Environmental Review and Advanced Conceptual Engineering for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (LA Metro).

Prior to joining HNTB, Jenkins was the first Executive Director of the Orange County Transportation Commission, now known as the Orange County Transportation Authority. He was also a Project Manager for San Diego Center City Transportation Action Program, Caltrans and LA Metro.

“Tom has five decades of leadership experience in Southern California and has advanced mobility for millions through his work,” HNTB West Division President Wayne Feuerborn said. “If anyone exemplifies the spirit of this award, it is Tom.”

“I am truly honored to join such a distinguished group of past recipients,” said Jenkins. “It is gratifying to know that everything we collectively do every day to improve and enhance mobility, will have a significant impact on future generations.”

At Quantix, a Texas-based supply chain services company for the chemical industry, Tendler will serve in a dual role of outside sales and leading part of the 3PL division’s inside sales team for the dry bulk brokerage. He will also be focused on growing the company’s liquid capabilities and expanding its customer base.

Tendler worked most recently as Business Development Manager at Trimac Transportation, a provider of bulk trucking transportation services. Prior to that, he spent more than four years with A&R Logistics, which re-branded as Quantix last month. During his time at the company, Tendler held various quality, safety and sourcing roles, as well as serving as Commercial Manager.

Alex Buck, President of Quantix 3PL Solutions

“Our 3PL Solutions business continues to invest in growing our team in an effort to scale the division to meet our diverse customer needs,” said Alex Buck, President of Quantix 3PL Solutions. “We’re thrilled to have Jake back at Quantix given his knowledge and expertise of the chemical supply chain, as well as the intricacies of this market. We know he’ll add tremendous value.”
