Global rail engineering company Pandrol has launched its new AutoSeal® mould to eliminate the need for manual sealing, creating significant time and weight efficiencies in the application process.
Pandrol’s AutoSeal® mould eliminates the need for manual sealing with the mould delivered through an innovative built-in insulation joint that expands during pre-heating to create a tight seal. This new process is more reliable than conventional sealing, particularly when used in cold weather and tight spaces.
The mould saves up to five minutes per weld, delivering significant time savings. Weighing less than 200 grams, the automatic solution delivers impressive weight savings versus traditional methods using sand that can weigh 5KG. It is also a much more ergonomic process, involving less stress and kneeling for the welder.
From an environmental perspective, the it reduces the amount of plastic waste and saves on energy for transportation.
