The Executive Committee and Technical Committees of the Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association (LMOA) look forward to seeing you during our Technical Program Sessions at Railway Interchange 2015.

The mission of the LMOA is to offer improvements and recommendations for a safer and more reliable railroad operating environment. Our efforts are intended to improve locomotive productivity and reduce costs along with the environmental impact of locomotive operations and maintenance. We are proud members of the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA).

As we complete our 76th year in existence, we have a very strong array of Technical Papers to be presented during the 2015 CMA Technical Program. The LMOA will feature papers on some of the latest topics in new locomotive technology, including new and retrofitted locomotives using alternative fuels, flange lubrication, and DC-to-AC locomotive conversion.

We will also be presenting papers designed to share best practices as developed by railroads and railroad suppliers, including papers on idle reduction, wheel profiling and core management.

We will also have a paper on upcoming Environmental Protection Agency requirements, and, with safety always foremost in our minds, we will feature a paper concerning safety in the locomotive maintenance workplace.

The complete schedule of Technical Paper presentations can be found on our website at www.lmoarail.com.

Railway Interchange 2015 will present LMOA members and attendees alike with an excellent opportunity to see and learn about the locomotive products and services available from the OEM’s and aftermarket suppliers at the indoor and outdoor exhibits. The joint meetings of AREMA and the CMAs, along with the combined exhibitions of REMSA, RSI and RSSI offer unparalleled networking and learning opportunities for the thousands of expected attendees.

I look forward to seeing all of you in Minneapolis.
