10East Corp. says Montana Rail Link, Inc. has chosen to use the RailDOCS™ Preventive Maintenance Management System (PMMS) in support of preventive maintenance and government compliance activities in its signal department.

Missoula, Mont.-based Montana Rail Link, a Class II regional railroad with more than 900 miles of track serving 100 stations in the states of Montana, Idaho, and Washington, will begin using the Tests and Inspections (T&I) and Configuration Management Systems (CMS) immediately. The company also is considering adding other components in the coming months, such as the RailDOCS™ Plan Management Program (PMP) and the Software Management System (SMS) for Critical Signal Software.

“For the last couple of years, 10East has focused on providing RailDOCS™ services to Class II and Class III railroads and we are very happy to have MRL join our network of customers and partners,” said Lester Hightower, vice president of 10East Corp., in a statement. “I believe that MRL’s decision expresses again the success that we are having in providing real value to mid-sized and smaller railroads.  MRL’s resolve to tackle configuration management, and to do so immediately, illustrates configuration management’s importance and value to modern railroad signaling, and it coincides with trends that we are seeing in railroad signaling across North America.”
