A new handheld device packed with powerful computing and wireless capabilities is as rugged as the mobile railroad working environment it’s designed for.

The Xplore M60 mobile device features a 6-inch sunlight-viewable display and glove/wet touch capability, 0.8-pound light weight in a pocket-size magnesium-alloy internal frame with rubberized enclosure running the Android for Work 8.0 Oreo operating system, which can be secured, managed and upgraded remotely via MDM/EMM.

At its heart is the Qualcomm 8953 Octa-Core CPU with 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory and a MicroSD card slot for up to 128 GB of storage. It’s all powered by a field-replaceable 8200 mAh battery offering five-hour full charge and up to 22 hours runtime.

The M60 offers a full range of wireless WAN and PAN technologies including 802.11ac, Bluetooth, NFC and LTE data and voice communications platforms.

Automated data entry is supported via built-in near field communications (NFC) technology and barcode scanner, to facilitate fast, two-way information flow between workers, management and back-end business systems.

The M60 features a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera; hands-free speaker and integrated microphone, and sensors for proximity, gravity, compass and barometer.

A vehicle charging cradle, desktop and multibay charger, belt pouch and screen protector are also available.
