LRIW elects Whiting’s Heldt 2nd VP

The League of Railway Industry Women has named Jodi Heldt, Sales Administration Manager at Whiting Corp., as Second Vice President.

Heldt was nominated by her colleague, Karen Whitt, Director of Legal and Risk Management at Whiting. “I nominated Jodi for the position because of the professionalism and persistence with which she approaches all tasks, large and small,” said Whitt. “This is a leadership trait that is good for Whiting Corp. and serves the mission of the League of Railway Industry Women, resulting in growth and cohesiveness of the organization, its members, and our industry. We congratulate Jodi and are proud of her representation in this important and worthwhile association.”

Founded in 1997, the League of Railway Industry Women is dedicated to providing leadership and support for the personal and professional growth of women in railroading and railway-related businesses. Membership in the LRIW is open to all women employed by railroads or other railway businesses, including railroad governing agencies or associations, locomotive and railcar builders, railroad and railcar parts and services suppliers, rail shippers, and leasing companies. The LRIW “is dedicated to providing leadership and support for the personal and professional growth of women at every level in railroading and railway-related business for the benefit of themselves and their employers.”
