International Railway Journal (IRJ, part of the Simmons-Boardman Publishing Rail Group with Railway Age and Railway Track & Structures) has launched a new all-in-one digital subscription that gives users unlimited access to the IRJ website, a new Premium News weekly newsletter exclusive to digital subscribers, the digital edition of IRJ magazine, plus access to podcasts and webinars.

Users of the IRJ website will still be able to access up to eight news stories per calendar month free of charge. After viewing four stories, users will be invited to register, and only after the eighth story will they be asked to take out a subscription.

Simmons-Boardman is offering two subscription packages: US$7.49 per calendar month, or a “best-value” option of an annual subscription of US$74.99, which equates to just US$6.25 per month.

“Usage of the IRJ website has grown rapidly during the past few years and is currently averaging in excess of 210,000 users per month,” says Simmons-Boardman Rail Group Publisher Jonathan Chalon. “This reflects the high-quality of the content on the website and the number of stories being posted each day. In common with an increasing number of publishers, we now need to start charging our frequent users for full access to the website in order to maintain the quality of our news service and to develop it further.”

Users interested in subscribing can do so immediately by clicking this link. Accepted payment forms are Visa, Mastercard or American Express through a secure portal. Once activated, subscribers will be able to access their account through My Account in the top right-hand corner of the IRJ website.
