Harsco Rail appoints new VP, International

Worldwide railway maintenance and construction company Harsco Rail, a division of Harsco Corporation, announced Oct. 27, 2015 the senior leadership appointment of Andre Schoen as Vice President for the international regions.

Schoen joins Harsco Rail with over 25 years of experience in business management, most recently as the Managing Director for Xerox-ACS Business Service in Switzerland. He previously worked for Siemens Rail Automation as Business Unit Director for 10 years in the UK and Germany, and prior to that, for Alstom Transport. Schoen earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in Switzerland, an MBA from the University of Sydney, and a Ph.D. from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

“With strategic focus on our international growth, we look forward to the experience and knowledge that Andre brings to Harsco Rail,” said Scott Jacoby, Harsco Rail President. “His leadership will be influential in continuing to successfully execute our large SBB orders in Switzerland, as well as further expanding into new markets, particularly in Europe and Asia.”
