Amtrak has promoted Roger Harris to Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer. He will be responsible for corporate marketing, sales distribution, network and consist planning, market research and pricing and revenue management for the Northeast Corridor, State-Supported and Long-Distance Service Lines.

Harris succeeds Tim Griffin, who plans to retire from Amtrak on April 12.

Following 25 years of experience in the transportation industry, Harris joined Amtrak in January 2019 as Vice President, Long-Distance Service Business Line. Before Amtrak, Harris served as Senior Vice President of Revenue, Distribution & Alliances for Mexican airline Aeromexico. Prior to Aeromexico, Harris held leadership roles at Delta Air Lines, Sun Country Airlines, GMAC Financial Services, Northwest/KLM Airlines and Chrysler Motors.

“Roger’s mix of transportation experience makes him a great fit for this position,” said Amtrak President and CEO Richard Anderson. “He will continue to advance the customer-focused strategies that are driving the company to the next level of ridership and revenue performance.”
