Infrastructure consulting firm T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) has named Robert Gorski Sector Manager and Associate Vice President, Rail and Transit, Central Area.

Gorski will lead and support TYLI’s strategic business development efforts and operations for the rail and transit sector in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. He will also serve as Project Manager for the Chicago (Ill.) Transit Authority Red Line Extension; TYLI is providing a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) study and preliminary engineering services for the project, which is slated to extend the Red Line 5.6 miles, include four new stations, and begin construction in 2024, subject to funding availability.

With more than 27 years of experience, Gorski served most recently as Principal Infrastructure Engineer at AECOM. He has also worked for URS and HDR.

“Bob has exceptional experience in the successful pursuit and delivery of major infrastructure projects, including railroad, commuter rail, water and sewer, highways, and bridges,” said Joseph Yesbeck, TYLI’s Senior Vice President, Rail and Transit, Americas. “He is an excellent fit to lead our overall growth strategy and build on and reinforce the relationships we have with transportation agencies and other clients in the Midwest.”
