The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will host three webinars to provide information about FTA’s implementation of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020. FTA leadership and program staff will discuss funding amounts, eligible expenses and other funding features.

FTA is requesting that prospective participants select only one of the webinars “to help ensure that the information is available to all who need it,” as space is limited. “The content in all three webinars will be identical to the content provided in an April 6 webinar, so it is not necessary to attend a second webinar. Webinar recordings will be posted on FTA’s CARES Act page.”

The three webinars are:

  • Urbanized Area Transit Systems: Tuesday, April 7 at 1 p.m. ET. Register.
  • States and Rural Area Transit Systems: Thursday, April 9 at 2 p.m. ET. Register
  • Tribal Transit Systems: Friday, April 10 at 1 p.m. ET. Register.

“The CARES Act was signed into law to provide economic support for a variety of industries affected by the global coronavirus pandemic, including the transit industry,” FTA said. “It is a historic bipartisan law that provides $24.9 billion in funding to support the transit industry’s response to the pandemic.”
