Focused TS releases ‘LagEase’ battery-operated lag inserter

Focused Technology Solutions —a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company—is releasing their third battery-operated product to the rail market; the LagEase battery-operated lag inserter.
Like FTS’ battery-operated tie drill, the DrillEase, the LagEase uses a standard off-the-shelf 1” high torque impact driver to operate. It will pull or insert a lag screw in just 3-5 seconds.
“Just like the SpikeEase and the DrillEase before it, Class I’s are going to fall in love with the LagEase,” Peter Bartek, Focused Technology Solutions’ President, said. “It’s a game-changing product that will make rail workers’ lives easier, save rail yards millions and allow them to go green.”
Like other FTS tools, the LagEase allows for the complete elimination of hydraulic tools, bulky generators and range-restricting hoses from the right of way. Its portability and lightweight design make it perfect for jobs in tight spaces like bridges and tunnels. The tool weighs under 30 lbs, pulls and inserts 120+ lags per battery charge and is ready to use out of the box.
