Sabrina Drago has joined WSP USA as Sacramento transportation office lead, the engineering and professional services consultancy company announced on March 15.

Drago, a registered civil engineer in California and Arizona, will spearhead the firm’s growth efforts, including “working closely with clients toward making their projects successful, recruiting and retaining top industry talent, and enhancing the firm’s brand in the local industry.”

Drago holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State Polytechnic University, a master’s in civil engineering from Stanford University and a master’s in business administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. She also serves as a mentor for Advancing Women in Transportation.

Prior to joining WSP, Drago—who began her career as a structural engineer, designing vehicular and pedestrian bridges throughout the western U.S.—worked at Arizona- and New Mexico-based firms “developing client relationships, directing marketing and branding programs, leading corporate quality programs and working with public sector leaders to improve transportation infrastructure throughout the Southwest.”

“WSP is fortunate to have Sabrina join our Sacramento office,” said John Fisher, Northern California district manager for WSP. “Her breadth of industry knowledge and experience from holding high-level positions in engineering and marketing will enable her to identify key opportunities and exceed our clients’ expectations.”
