The Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) has awarded a contract to Parsons Brinckerhoff for on-call services for transit infrastructure improvements in the Detroit area.

Under the contract, Parsons Brinckerhoff will provide a range of transportation planning, engineering, and architectural services for various transit projects, possibly among them the Detroit People Mover, which is owned and operated by the Detroit Transportation Corporation.

PB’s first assignment involves federal financial and planning advisory assistance for specific strategic grant opportunities; providing Federal Transit Administration compliance recommendations and assistance with the federal grant application process, including 5309 and 2014 TIGER grant applications; and other strategic grant submittals as requested by DDOT.

PB’s next assignment involves planning and program development assistance to create and implement a program development framework for management and implementation of DDOT capital projects using project management lifecycle methodologies.
