Transit and transportation planning and development consultant Cambridge Systematics is celebrating 45 years as an industry consultant.

Since it established roots in Boston in 1972, the company has grown to a dozen offices managing and array of disciplines across the U.S.

Cambridge Systematics (CS) President and Chief Executive Brad Wright unveiled a video chronicling the firm’s history and achievements, looking to its future, and sharing results of a yearlong survey defining how the staff view CS at 45.

“Cambridge Systematics has grown tremendously over the past 45 years and this video documents that,” said Wright. “We started from a group of four MIT professors and a transportation planning colleague in one office, conducting a handful of transportation projects, to 12 offices across the Unites States and leading the transportation planning industry. I’m proud of our history and journey. But most important, I look forward to what comes next for CS as we continue to define the future by understanding and responding to our clients’ needs.”
