The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) has announced the members of the 2023-27 BLET National Division Advisory Board.

Comprising the 14 highest-ranking elected officers in BLET, the Board “serves as the union’s chief policy-making body between conventions,” BLET reported on Jan. 10.

In addition to the three new Executive Committee members—National President Edward A. Hall, First Vice President (and Alternate President) Mark L. Wallace and National Secretary-Treasurer David P. Estes—the other Advisory Board members are:

  • Vincent G. Verna, Vice President & National Legislative Representative
  • Rick C. Gibbons, National Vice President
  • James P. Louis, National Vice President
  • J. Alan Holdcraft, National Vice President
  • William P. Lyons, National Vice President
  • Peter M. Semenek, National Vice President
  • L. Randy Fannon, National Vice President
  • Garrison D. Best, National Vice President
  • Richard E. (“Dick”) Crow, National Division Trustee
  • Patrick T. Driscoll, National Division Trustee
  • Kyle J. Bagby, National Division Trustee

“We’re excited about what we can do together to build a better union,” said Edward A. Hall, who took office Jan. 1. “We have new blood, a lot of energy and a deep bench. … We don’t want to just talk to members or talk at them, we want to listen. The members of this union are in the driver’s seat. I’m planning to spend much of this year traveling the country to rail yards and union halls to meet with members and hear their thoughts on how this union can better serve them and what we can do to make their jobs better.”
