AAR recognizes Road & Rail Services

The Association of American Railroads recently awarded Road & Rail Services Inc. a top Automotive Quality Excellence Award for its efforts at the Talladega, Ala., facility, marking the third time the company has earned this award. Road & Rail was recognized for the “Highest Quality Review Score for Origin Facilities” for the period covering June 2016 to May 2017.

Only one such award is given each year. Road & Rail Services Vice President of Customer Service Robert Sadler noted, “We are humbled and honored to receive the top award this year. The credit goes to the Talladega team for their hard work, their commitment to customer service and their focus on quality day in and day out. Hats off to them and our teams across the dozens of locations we serve for truly putting ‘performance in motion’ every day.”

Established in 1987, Road & Rail Services is a provider of rail-related services to railroads, rail shippers and railcar owners. The company provides services with competencies in train operations (railcar switching and short line operations), maintenance operations (rolling stock, infrastructure and track assets), and product handling (automotive origin plant operations and destination terminal operations, intermodal, and bulk commodities). Based in a Louisville, Ky., Road & Rail Services has operations in 18 states within the automotive, aggregate, coal/utility, intermodal, paper, and steel/metals industries.
