London Trackwork Awarded Finch West LRT Supply Contract
Written by Andrew CorselliMosaic Transit Group recently awarded London Trackwork Inc. the supply contract for the Special Trackwork and switch machines for the Finch West LRT in Toronto, Ontario. The contract will take about 1.5 to 2 years to complete, London Trackwork noted.
The Special Trackwork contract includes R30 and R50 geometry turnouts with single and double crossovers, and diamonds on the mainline and at the maintenance and storage facility.
The Finch West LRT project is Metrolinx’s new 11-kilometer LRT line with 18 stops. Mosaic Transit Group is the contractor designing and building the Finch West LRT, which will be in service in 2023.
The London, Ontario-based London Trackwork is a supplier of rail transit track components.
