KCS COO to Headline AAR Virtual Research Review

The 26th annual event will feature projects driving innovation and the implementation of advanced technology to improve North American railroad operations.

Registration is now open for the AAR Research Review, which the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI) is again hosting in a virtual format. It will be held March 16 with Kansas City Southern Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Songer serving as keynote speaker. (Songer and KCS President and CEO Pat Ottensmeyer were part of a 2020 Rail Group on Air Special Podcast Series: The Coronavirus and the Rail Industry.)

Among the session topics to be addressed are: railroad applications of predictive analytics, automated condition assessment, substructure systems, track stability, high-performance wheel research, rail grinding, technology-driven train inspection, and draft and coupling systems.

The March 16 Research Review will run from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. MDT (10 a.m-3 p.m. EST).

Registered participants will also have access to recorded Research Review sessions following the event.
