GREX appoints Ewing VP of Human Resources
Written by Carolina Worrell, Senior EditorGeorgetown Rail Equipment Company (GREX), has appointed Shawnda Ewing to the position of Vice President of Human Resources, the company announced Dec. 21, 2015.
Ewing joined GREX in 2008 as a part-time Human Resources Assistant and Recruiter and was later promoted to Manager of Human Resources. She graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a BSBA in Human Resources Management, and in 2009 obtained her PHR with memberships in SHRM and WilCoHR. Ewing also volunteers with various organizations in the community. She recently served as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for GREX, as well as for SENSR Monitoring Technologies (SMT), a GREX subsidiary.
“Shawnda has done a good job of representing GREX as our AVP of Human Resources. This promotion is well-deserved,” said Wiggie Shell, President and CEO of GREX. “We look forward to her leadership as she steps into this new role.”
