Encore’s Spilker earns NAMRC honor

The North American Maintenance Railway Club has selected Greg Spilker of Encore Rail Systems as NAMRC Supplier of the Year for 2018.
Spilker is a long-time member and supporter of the NAMRC, said the group’s president Jim Hansen, “Greg is a consummate industry profession and exemplifies the character of the NAMRC membership. His personal support of the club has brought in several new members and Encore has supported the club as a Platinum Sponsor since 2014.”
Spilker is vice president and general manager of Encore Rail Systems, based in Broomfield, Colo., and has been in the railway maintenance supply industry for more than 24 years. Previous to his current position, he worked for17 years at Nordco where he held positions from assembler to vice president of sales and marketing. Following that he worked for Progress Rail Equipment Leasing as national sales manager.
Spilker, a longtime member of NAMRC, served on the REMSA board from 2009-13 and is on his second term. Spilker is actively involved in several railroad committees and organizations including the NRC Auction Committee as well as AREMA Committee 27. He lives in Wisconsin with his wife Tracy and daughters Zoe and Ella.
