Emmerson named Managing Director Harsco Rail UK
Written by William C. Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefHarsco Rail has appointed Mark Emmerson Managing Director of the company’s United Kingdom operation. He has been in this role in an interim capacity over the past nine months, along with his previous role of International Finance Director.
Harsco Rail UK has more than 200 employees supporting the UK rail network, which includes Network Rail, the owner of the majority of the railway infrastructure in Great Britain.
“Throughout his 13 years with Harsco Rail, Mark has had a positive impact on the organization, both in the finance function and in providing leadership to the UK group,” said Vice President International Joe Dougherty. “I am excited about his appointment to the MD position and optimistic about the future of our UK business.”
“Over recent months, we have worked to realign the business to meet the needs of our customers and as a result a number of key appointments have been made to strengthen our team and work together to ensure our future success,” Emmerson said.
