Bombardier Aerostructures and Engineering Services President Danny Di Perna, who joined the company in mid-2018, has replaced Laurent Troger as President of Bombardier Transportation. The change is part of an overall leadership restructuring at Bombardier Inc.

Troger has resigned and will “pursue opportunities outside the company,” Bombardier said. Di Perna, with more than 30 years of industrial experience, “is an exceptional and engaging leader with a proven record of leading complex industrial organizations,” according to Bombardier Inc. President and CEO Alain Bellemare. “His demonstrated success driving operational efficiency, improving quality and delighting customers make him the right person to follow Laurent and accelerate Bombardier Transportation’s transformation.”

Prior to joining Bombardier, Di Perna was Vice President Global Sourcing at GE Power.

Bellemare acknowledged Troger “for his many contributions to Bombardier over the past 15 years, including his exceptional leadership while serving as President of our rail segment for the past three years,” continued Bellemare. “During this time, Transportation significantly grew its backlog, optimized its footprint and executed an aggressive production ramp-up. As a result of Laurent’s leadership, Bombardier Transportation is a stronger, more efficient company poised for solid growth.”

Bombardier veteran Paul Sislian replaced Di Perna as President of Bombardier Aerostructures and Engineering Services. Another company veteran, Nancy Barber, is the Business Aircraft division’s new Chief Operating Officer.

Di Perna’s appointment closely follows that of Lee Sander as President of Bombardier Transportation’s America’s Region. Bombardier Transportation in recent years has experienced significant contract delivery delays on several major North American rolling stock orders.
